Bridges Society of America is proud to be partnering with Building Positive Families in Rome, Georgia. Building Positive Families was founded on the belief that strong parenting skills can be the difference in a child's life that gives him or her the chance to succeed. Also, much like Bridges Society of America, Building Positive Families believes that teaching youth certain skills and fostering positive character traits will allow them to grow and become outstanding citizens. In keeping with our mission of helping young men in urban areas across America build professional and social relationships that help them achieve their academic and professional goals, Bridges Society of America will primarily be focused on the professional and social growth of the young men involved with Building Positive Families, while offering assistance in other areas of need. Chapter President Charles Smith
Rome, Georgia Chapter President, Charles Smith is currently the CEO of Building Positive Families, and the head football coach at Rome Middle School.i. A former college athlete and Georgia native, Mr. Smith attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and winning three SEC Conference Championships and one National Championship as a member of the University of Georgia football team. Mr. Smith went on to attend Ashford University, where he obtained his Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Mr. Smith is a husband, and devoted father. As displayed by his many accomplishments, Mr. Smith is a shining example of hard work, dedication, and the desire to serve others, which enables him to be the leader his has become. .
